Meet Piper (Class of 2028)

My name is Piper Jimmerson and I am a sophomore at Eureka College, along with being a Disciples Leadership Program fellow. I study history with a minor in philosophy and religion, like other DLPs. My favorite part about the fellowship program is the opportunity to connect with and get to know other Disciples students. The community part of it is important to me. It allows us to get to know each other and be supported by the group. One main reason why I chose Eureka is because everyone is encouraged to really be themselves. Outside of classes, students can enjoy their time in their own way. (I love Indian food and playing Sims!) At Eureka College, I’ve had the privilege to get to know some incredible people. This includes the other DLPs of course, but other friends who are important to me. The DLP fellowship has also enabled me to travel. The DLPs and I went to Madrid this summer to learn about its history, culture, and the complicated but fascinating role religion has played in shaping modern Spain. I can’t wait to see where the road leads next!
