My name is Aja Lawson, and I am one of two incoming fellows of the Disciples Leadership Program. I decided to apply for the DLP scholarship when the pastor of my home church (Canton, IL First Christian Church) introduced me to it and recommended it for me. I am glad I did! I can now say I am a proud DLP fellow! My major is Music Ministry, and being part of this program will be a great asset to growing my Christian faith. I look forward to finding ways to connect it with service and leadership. In addition to the DLP, I am also one of two new interns working in youth ministry at Eureka Christian Church – Eureka, IL which is a great way to build up ministerial skill and experience. I look forward to working with my fellow Disciples students and my professors to create a wonderful experience here at Eureka, all while growing musically and ministerially.
